A Little Taste of Winter......

A Little Taste of Winter.......

We have had a very cold January-it was a good time to discuss all those winter words in Room 1-cold, snow, raining, freezing, frost, bitter, winter woollies, snowflakes, snowmen, ice, short days, dark nights etc.

One cold day in January, we set out on a 'Winter Walk' around the school. We made sure to wrap up that day. We put on our coats, jackets, woolly hats, gloves and scarves to keep warm. We hope you enjoy the pictures-you will see that there are no leaves on the trees, plenty of sticks on the ground and some snowdrops under the beech tree.

We could see our own breaths it was that cold..........

We had so much fun crunching the ice with our feet...

Check out our very own snowmen.....made from clay and painted once dried.

It is important to keep warm in Winter so we brainstormed on all the ways to wrap up in the cold weather....

Grandparents Day

We had some very special visitors arrive at our school this month-our grandparents. Some grannies and grandads came to visit our classroom-they played games with us and we were proud to show them what goes on behind the red door. We listed some of the things we have learned in school so far! Children had the opportunity to show grandparents some of the hard work that goes on each day.
